The hills of St Helena taught us what patience and pride
can grow together

Staglin Family Vineyard is a fourth-generation, estate-grown winery producing Cabernet Sauvignon and varietals that carry the character of our hillside terroir in every bottle.

Our Story

Four generations, one hillside

The Staglin family has called St Helena home since the 1960s. What began as a passion for the land grew into an estate vineyard perched on the volcanic slopes above the valley floor — a site with exceptional drainage, morning fog, and afternoon warmth that produces grapes of extraordinary concentration.

Today, we farm sustainably, hand-harvest every block, and let the fruit speak for itself. Our wines are made with restraint and respect — for the land, for the season, and for the people who share a glass with us.

The Collection

Wines shaped by slope and soil

Each vintage reflects the microclimate of our hillside blocks — cool nights, warm days, and grapes that ripen slowly enough to develop depth without losing vitality.

The Vineyard

Grown where the mountain meets the valley

Our 200-acre estate sits on the eastern slopes of the Mayacamas, between 800 and 1,200 feet of elevation. The higher blocks catch the Pacific fog first and lose it last, extending the growing season and giving our fruit a slow, even ripening that lowland sites simply can't match.

We farm dry-farmed and sustainably certified, working with the land rather than against it. Every decision — canopy management, irrigation timing, harvest window — is made to express the place, not impose on it.

  • Dry-farmed, sustainably certified vineyard
  • Hillside blocks at 800–1,200 ft elevation
  • Hand-harvested, small-lot fermented
  • Estate-bottled, limited production
